Once again staff and students were involved in the Christmas Shoe box Appeal. TY students had a keen interest in helping out with this project and over 30 students volunteered to help Ms Ryan in the very worthy cause...

Forty-one Second and Third Year students from Presentation College began December with a four day activity packed trip to the Rhine region of Germany They visited the Christmas markets in .Düsseldorf, Koblenz and Cologne, went ice-skating in the theme park Phantasialand and Cologne, visited Marksburg Castle, visited a school, met their pen pals and much much more. Four days of adventure....

Lucy Gibson, from Presentation College, Carlow recently travelled as one of a team of eight from Ireland, to the 13^th WKC World Karate Champions in Belgrade, Serbia. The team consisted of four from Askea Karate Club, two from Carlow Karate Club and two from Northern Ireland. Lucy competed in four different events....and won Gold with the UKC team which consisted of the girls from Northern Ireland and Lucy. They are now the current World Champions.

Presentation Sisters and friends of Nano Nagle, all over the world, celebrate the Feast of the Presentation of Mary in the Temple on the 21st November each year...On Presentation Day students and staff participated in a wonderful mass organised by the Religion and Music departments. Students were involved in all aspects of the mass. Head Girl -  Meadhbh Broderick and Head Boy - Charlie O’Meara welcomed everyone to Askea Church.

Aoife Kelly who is the only Carlow girl on the Leinster Under 16 FAI team, Leinster came out winners in the recent interprovincial tournament. Congratulations to Aoife and her trainers.

Throughout the week students engaged in a wide variety of talks and activities organised by the Careers Department....

Brendan Hayden and Damien Jordan, Carlow GAA Development Officers have introduced the Super Games programme to some of the Second Year PE classes. This involved Strength and Conditioning, Pella and Hurling.

Congratulations to all thirty of our JPII Award Recipients who received Silver, Gold and Papal Cross Awards at the annual awards ceremony held in Carlow Cathederal. Pictured (click on heading to see photo) are our award recipients along with Bishop Denis Nulty, Mr Ray Murray (Principal) and Ms Georgina Maher (teacher and Award Leader). We are extremely proud of all our students and the amount of time and help they have contributed to both their school and parish communities.
