RCSI Mini-Med School

Mar 22 2016

I loved every minute at the Mini Med course in Waterford! Waterford RCSI Transition Year Mini-Med School Programme offers a four day experience for Transition year students interested in a career in Medicine. The programme covers a wide variety of topics and is designed to introduce the student to both undergraduate and postgraduate aspects of a career in medicine. It takes place in the HSE /RCSI Education Building at Waterford Regional Hospital and utilises the excellent Nursing School Facilities in WIT for practical sessions.
It was so inspiring to receive such remarkable lectures and talks from highly respected people such as Professor Arnie Hill, Head of Medical School at Royal College of Surgeons. From lectures on Cardiology to practical sessions in labs to Emergency Simulations, it was all incredible. I would recommend this wonderful opportunity to anyone considering it. (Anna McHugh, TY2)
